This lecture explains how to shape branches of collected juniper for the Kokufu Exhibition during the growth period in May.
I will detail the wiring method that avoids old wire marks, how to leave branches for exhibitions, and create volume. I will also cover safe branch lowering during the vulnerable period and pruning techniques to refine the outline. In particular, I will explain from a professional perspective the composition of shelf lines, expression of branch vigor, and how to create depth in exhibition pieces.
